Jakob’s Brain Fuel was born from one of Jakob Kindt’s big ideas.

Jakob was our Business Manager at MeduPros and one of the people who helped push us in the right direction. He had a way of cutting through the noise and getting things done. He used to tell me, “You go do your nerd stuff, and I’ll run the business.”

Not long before the March 10, 2025 helicopter crash that took Jakob, Cal Wesowloski, and Dustin Pope, Jakob called me about an idea he wanted to run with. He kept the details to himself at first, but I trusted him. A week later, he came back with, “We got a branded coffee, baby!”

He had teamed up with Jaren and the crew at FlightLine Coffee to create a roast for MeduPros. I wanted to call it Jet Fuel. Jakob was not having it. He said it needed to be better, more useful, and something people would come back for.

His name for it: Brain Fuel.

As we were finalizing the product, the crash happened. To honor Jakob, we renamed it Jakob’s Brain Fuel and kept the phrase he gave it: “Grab ya’ a bag of Brain Fuel.”
